Really Bad Day

I had to present a project for class I was working on about a garden, and the two critics that were there happened to be the dean of the school and the department chairman, so naturally they were really nasty, but not just critical, i mean they were really really bad, and it was really humiliating that they didn't like my work, i got so upset i just took my laptop and bag and just ran out of the room after that. the one called it cartoony, said it was inferior to even first year design classes, another was like "are u gunna apologize for such a bad model" the model was fine in my eyes, was bettter than what i did last year. I had to just go because I was holding back tears at that point.

I may not be the best person in the class, theres a lot of people there who really know what they are doing, but come on, I felt my work was at least passable. Architecture is a field of creative work that I'm not good at or really interested in, I can do art, and cartoons and stuff just fine, because i have a big imagination, architecture's is just a different thing it's making stuff thats supposed to exist in real life. Its trying to analyze abstract problems and try to make something out of them, which honestly I don't have much interest in. I like advertising and graphic design, fields where theres more imagination and creativity at work. At least im changing majors at the end of this semester, I cant do it now, the deadline has passed, so Im in a sense stuck where I am.

Despite this all happening earlier this morning (Friday Oct 5) I still hurt from what they said, it was just sheer malice. How can educators which are supposed to inspire and motivate students do things like this??
